Bi-weekly gatherings occur every other Tuesday’s year around. The program begins when the assigned MC starts by welcoming the audience and makes various announcements such as community happenings, achievements by members/their families, celebrating the birth dates of participants, names of dinner sponsors (if any) or caterer, introduction of new members, visitors from other locations, memorials, changes in government regulations etc. Most often, there is a guest speaker who will give a presentation on topics pertinent to the well-being of the seniors followed by a Q&A period. The presentation topics include but are not limited to the following main areas: Health & Welfare, Culture & Recreation, Education and Information, Food & Nutrition, Excursions, Volunteers & Support. Immediately, following the lecture and question/answer period; dinner would be served by the BOD and volunteers who arrange and serve freshly cooked, delicious dinners to the Sr. citizens in the gathering. After dinner, there are
games followed by socialization, and the birth dates of members are celebrated with music, and dancing.
