The goal of Mehr Organization Inc. a non-profit organization with 501(C) status is to facilitate and provide introductions and create connections between the Iranian American senior citizens ages 55 and above in the Greater Sacramento Area. The Mehr’s primary mission is to create opportunities for these seniors to become familiar with social programs and opportunities and enable them to understand the day to day challenges which may have been obstacles for them in using public services that are beneficial for them. Our ultimate goal is to bring fulfillment to their lives and also to increase the comfort and desire to live in the United States to encourage their involvement in American Society. We seek to build well-rounded and healthy lives for the seniors and evoke greater daily enjoyment through physical and mental activities as well as educational opportunities.
Through Mehr Volunteers and board members ’ efforts over 120 senior citizens are able to attend an evening of fun and continued engagement in their Iranian Culture each month. You can help us by giving us ideas & suggestions, donations, and if you have skills that can benefit our Seniors, you can be a speaker or arrange special classes for them in learning English, Computers, or any other topic that could benefit them.
